Obviously, Bruce Jenner is not a woman. But the fact that so many people want us to think this is true, and that they appear to want to believe it themselves, is ominous…

But it feels like we’re being asked to participate in some kind of mass delusion where we’re all supposed to affirm that something is perfectly normal and healthy when it obviously isn’t.177

I share Robert’s bewilderment at the media reaction. It is way too positive to be natural. There is no mixture of opinions. Jenner’s transition is universally accepted as normal. Where is the dissent? It all seems so controlled. I can thus only conclude that it must have been an orchestrated event. The new paradigm is being forced on us, and dissent is not allowed. To journalists with principles, that must be frustrating.

Also from The Federalist, Daniel Payne discusses the media’s requirement to use the preferred pronoun of trans people. Like myself, he believes this does trans people more harm than good.

Of all the trends currently working their way through journalism, there is perhaps none so baffling as the media’s indulgence in the transgender narrative. Journalists appear to have acquiesced to this ideology en masse. No less a formidable source than the “AP Stylebook” declared a few years ago that Associated Press employees are to use “the pronoun preferred by the individuals” in cases where confusion may arise.
